Clicking on Webex Feed in Vidcast's main menu will allow you to quickly access and review videos that were shared to your Webex Team, Webex space or Meeting recordings that were imported to Vidcast. This article will walk you through both Teams and Spaces tabs in the Webex Feed. You can read more about Meetings tab in the Import your Webex Meeting article.

Teams

Teams feature allows both members and moderators to share their videos to a Team within Vidcast. This is an easier way to discover and rediscover content relevant to the people you work with on a day-to-day basis.

The main view of the Teams tab will show you reel of the latest videos added to any of your teams, with an overlay text with the name of the Team the video was shared to.

Below, you will find a list of Teams you are part of. A Vidcast icon will let you know how many videos were already shared to that particular team. You can review those videos by clicking on a Team in this list

We are utilizing the same API as Webex messaging, so any existing Team that you currently have within your Webex app will automatically populate as a Team within Vidcast. Users can create Teams directly within Vidcast, which will also create a new Team within the Webex App itself. Please note: If you leave a Team within Vidcast, you will also leave the Team within the Webex app. If you are a Moderator and delete a Team within Vidcast, that Team will also be deleted in the Webex app as well.

Roles:
There are two different roles in a Team:

Members:

· Can view any video in the Team

· Can leave the Team

· Can delete their own videos shared to the Team

· Can share their own videos to the Team

· Can share Playlists to the Team

Moderators:

· Can view any video in the Team

· Can delete the Team

· Can delete any videos within the Team

· Can designate Members vs Moderators

· Can share Playlists to Team

· Can share their own videos to the Team

Sharing Videos/Playlists to a Team:

Sharing a video or playlist to a Team is easy:

  1. Navigate over to the video or playlist you wish to share.

  2. Click the "Share" button in the lower right corner of the playback page or top right corner of the playlist.

  3. Type a name of the Team you want to share video/playlist to (in case of the individual video), or click on the share button in the top right corner of your playlist page. Type the first two letters to search for your team.

  4. After selecting your Team(s), add them to the list by clicking on the Share button. And finally, you can save the share settings by clicking on Done button! All members/moderators of the Team will now have access to the video or playlist you've shared – no need to update share permissions.

Please note that a Team can often share it's name with a Space that belongs to that Team. It is therefore important to make sure you have selected the Team from within the Team section of the share modal and not Space (in case you want to share to the Team). You can doublecheck that in the final list (as per the screenshot above)- if the video/ playlist was shared with a Team, it will be listed under a Team. If it was shared to a space, it will be listed under a Space.

Spaces

Vidcast also allows you to get a quick overview of videos that were shared to or recorded to your Webex spaces (messages to a group of other Webex users).

Similar to Teams tab, at the top you will find a "Latest in your spaces" reel, highlighting latest videos shared within your spaces.

Below that reel, you will find a list of your spaces with Vidcast videos, ordered based on their activity in Webex.

Clicking on the name of the space will show all the videos that were shared to that space.

Please note that only videos shared to space via Vidcast's share modal and videos recorded to space (in Webex) will be detected. If you copy/ paste a video link to a space, it will not appear in the "Latest in your space" reel, or in individual space overview.
