Notifications are the way you'll learn about things happening within your Vidcast account.
There are two types of notifications you'll see: notifications in Vidcast and email notifications.
Notifications in Vidcast
New notifications will flash for you in the top right corner of the page. To view your notifications at any time, simply click on the bell icon in the top right corner. If the icon is highlighted pink, that means you have a new notification!
What kind of notifications are you going to get? Below you'll find a list naming just a few of the many notifications you might see here:
Comments & reactions left on your video
The first time your video is viewed
When your video is ready for download
When someone requests access to a restricted video (you will be able to approve it directly through the notification)
Email notifications
On many occasions we will also send a notification directly to your email. You can adjust what kind of notification you would like to receive by clicking on Settings and then selecting Notifications.
The only notification that can't be turned off is the one letting you know your video is ready to be downloaded. We want to make sure you are able to download it as soon as it is processed!
Pro tip: Do you have a large audience and too many notifications in your inbox? Instead of turning off notifications, you change how often you will receive them. We will then send you one email with all the notifications once a day, once a week, or even once a month!
