There are numerous reasons why you may want to download your Vidcast recordings. Whatever yours is, we make it easy!

Please note that only video owners or video editors can download a video. If a Vidcast was shared with you and you need to download it, please contact the video owner to change your role to editor.
Or simply follow these steps:
1. Record your video or open up a previously recorded video that you'd like to download.
2. Select the three-dot menu in the bottom right corner of the playback window and choose the "Download" option.
3. You'll then see a message letting you know that your video is processing in preparation for download.
4. Click "Ok" and your video will then continue processing in the background.
**The processing time will vary depending on the length of the video. Longer recordings may take longer to process.
5. Once the video is ready to be downloaded, you'll receive an email letting you know that your video is ready to be downloaded.
6. You'll also receive a notification directly within Vidcast when it's ready.
7. Select the "Download video" option from your notifications, and the recording will then download to your desktop.
