Creators often need to have a deeper look into how their videos perform and we are here to help with that! With analytics, you can uncover insights for your Vidcasts at both an individual and aggregate level.
Analytics Roundup
You can get to analytics by clicking on the appropriate option in the Vidcast menu. When you do so, you will be greeted by your analytics Roundup - an aggregate of the most interesting data from the videos in your account.
In the analytics roundup you will be able to review:
Most watched, most commented and most reacted-to videos
Total and unique views for your account
Total number of comments from all videos in your account
Total anonymous views
New comments, views and reactions in the last 24 hours (for all your videos)
Total time your viewers saved by watching your Vidcasts over 1x speed
Average number of comments per video, average retention rate and average video length
Retention rate is representing the average of the amount of time people spend viewing your video. A retention rate average of 75% means that on average, viewers watch 75% of your videos.
We consider someone watching a video only if they watch more than 3 seconds of the content. And we stop measuring once they exit the Vidcast page or stop watching the video to navigate somewhere else within Vidcast.
Analytics By Video
You can also review performance of individual videos. These analytics will share some similarities with your analytics roundup, however, this view will refer to specific videos.
To get into analytics for a specific video, you can either:
Click on the By video option within the Insights tab and search for the title of your Vidcast.
Click into the video you want to see analytics for and further click on the Insights button below the video.
In analytics by video you will find:
Comments for the specific video
Total views over time
Viewer retention
Total views, unique views and total comments for the video
Average watched video duration
New comments, views and reactions in the last 24 hours (for the video)
Total time your viewers saved by watching your video over 1x speed
Viewer retention graph will show you at what point in your video your audience exits Vidcast or stops watching to navigate somewhere else in Vidcast.
The grey line represents the average viewer retention of all videos created on the Vidcast platform, while the purple line shows the average retention rate for your specific video. That way, you can compare how well your Vidcast is doing against all other Vidcasts!
