Condense hours of video recordings into minutes with AI Highlights. Vidcast automatically generates summary of most important moments from any video with eligible transcript, allowing users to consume content and information they otherwise wouldn't due to its length.
Whether it is a lengthy Town hall, Quarterly business review, or company All hands, your Vidcast audience now has the option to choose if the want to play Full video or Highlights only.
Selecting Highlights will allow them to watch the highlight reel of all highlights, one by one. If a particular highlight catches their attention, they can always swap to Full playback player for more context!
Highlights can be also launch and reviewed from the control panel on the right hand side of the video (or below if the video is playing in the theatre mode).
By clicking on the link icon in the top right corner of the player, you and your audience will be able to copy easily copy link to all highlights, copy just the current highlight or get a link to full video. .
These options change full video, current timestamp and all highlights in the full video mode.
Additionally, you can watch highlights, without the need to open the video, in the dedicated highlight reel. Simply open hover your mouse pointer over a video thumbnail (within Vidcast) and if the video has highlights available, you will see a highlights reel button.
By clicking on the highlight button, you will open a dedicated highlight reel window, where you can review only the most important moments of the video.
Vidcast will automatically generate highlights for videos with transcripts longer than 100 words (estimated 50-80 seconds). This process can take up to 1x duration of the video and the creator will be notified by in-app notification and via email, once Highlights are generated.
You can also generate Highlights for older or shorter videos manually by clicking on the Edit button below the video and selecting Generate AI Highlights in the Video details tab.
Once AI highlights are generated, you can manually rephrase any Highlight, adjust the time stamp, or even delete and add new Highlights!
You can also delete individual Highlights by hovering your mouse over the Highlight in the Video details tab. You will be also able to rate only that particular Highlight and navigate to the Highlight in the video preview.
Finally, if you would like AI to try generate a new set of Highlights, you can do so by clicking on the Regenerate button below all already generated Highlights.
Please not that regenerating Highlights will replace all the content, including manually added Highlights.
Clipping, trimming and stitching will also regenerate Highlights to better match the edited content.
